The Lord blessed Blake and I with a kind, cheerful, wonderful son in August. We felt led to adopt for several reasons,  one being that Blake and I have struggled with infertility…

What a good God we serve… After having Will home for 3 months and spending one month on Clomid, I took a pregnancy test last night… PREGNANT was the word that popped up on the first test I took. PREGNANT was the word that popped up on the second digital test I took and then I got the double lines this morning…

Will is going to be a big brother! We feel so blessed by the Lord…

Blake and I took Will to get his first haircut today at Cookie Cutters. He was wonderful of course… sat stiller(is that a word?) then the 5 year old sitting next to him. Will’s foster mom gave him a buzz the day before we went down to pick him up so I guess it was not his real first haircut… But it was a first for the 3 of us together so to us… Ok, it was his first.

Up To #15

Blake’s question for Mark Driscoll is up to #15 today! Keep voting for him!

The Glas Family

The Glas family has become such a precious friendship for us. When praying about adoption they were a source of comfort and encouragement. While in the process and waiting for Will to come home they gave us the oppertunity to play with H. and M.E(who are from Guatemala)… Marsha allowed me the opportunity to ride with her to downtown Louisville and Frankfort more then one time to have paperwork certified… They were some of the first people to live for Blake and I the example of what a blessing adoption is.

A few months ago the Lord called them to Georgia and we have missed them so much! Two weeks before we left for Guatemala, their family of 4 boarded a plane to spend 7 weeks in Brazil in order to complete H.’s adoption! It was such a blessing to go through the adoption process alongside them and Blake and I have been awaiting meeting the newest addition of their family!

We got the pleasure of spending 2 hours eating with the Glas’ last night and FINALLY got to meet H while they also got to meet Will! It was so sweet because they have been showing their precious children pics of Will and they were calling him “their baby Will”. And H was so quick to let Blake and I hold her… Welcome Home Sweet H!

ASK MARK DRISCOLL

Mark Driscoll(pastor of Mars Hill Church in Seattle) is hosting a web sight in which he is giving people the chance to choose what he preaches about. On November 1st at 5.00pm, they will take the top 50 questions and continue voting until December 14th. Mark will take the top 9 and form a series of sermons and will then form those sermons into a book! Blake has posted a question that has made it to #20 out of 304 questions.

“What can traditional/established churches learn from ‘emerging’ churches?”

Vote for Blake’s question sp we can hear Mark Driscoll’s thoughts on the question many are wondering! Lets keep him in the top 50 until November 1 and then make sure that he makes it to the top 9!

Visiting Illinois

We took Will on his first road trip last weekend… We went to visit Blake’s family in Effingham, Illinois. Much of Blake’s family had not gotten to meet our sweet, little baby boy yet so it was alot of fun! Plus it was Blake’s grandmother’s birthday so we got to spend Saturday evening with her on the farm for a hotdog roast. The picture of all of the little children is of Will and the other 7 great-grandchildren on the Ring family side. We loaded more pictures on flickr so check those out too!

Picking Apples

dscn2066.JPG Will’s first tractor ride… He seemed a little scared.

We took Will to Huber Orchards this afternoon to pick apples. It was 95 degrees outside, but we still had a good time! The trees are beginning to change and Will was enthralled with his surroundings. We live in the city so the country seemed to be alot of fun for him.

Will Can Stand Up!

So he needs a little help, but we are still pretty proud of our little baby boy!
